Manesty Holiday Cottages is most conveniently placed in the Northern Lake District in Keswick, close to perfect walking territory such as Skiddaw and Blencathra. All the delightful attractions of Keswick are easily accessible as well, including extensive specialist shops, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. The Lakeland Farmstead complex includes five cottages and the self-contained Cocklety How Studio Apartment and Youdale Knot Holiday Caravan. All our five cottages are fully equipped self-catering units set beautifully within the heart of Borrowdale. The 5 cottages at Manesty are Manesty Band which sleeps upto 7 people, Manesty which accommodates upto 6 people, Manesty Dairy, a cosy cottage sleeping 2 people and ideal for a romantic Lake District break, Cocklety How Stable Loft which sleeps upto 4 people and High Seat which accommodates upto 5 people. The farmstead, dating back to Elizabethan times, is an ideal location for walking, and guests can literally set off walking from all cottages. Local North Lakes District lakes such as Derwentwater are easily accessible, as are local rivers, woodland and fells.

We can provide guests with eight walking plans in the local area to try. The farmstead is a non-smoking environment, for the comfort of our guests. On-site are extensive garden facilites, including a barbecue. Each cottage is self-contained with its own entrance, grounds and car parking space(s), and is fully equipped offering guests a home-from-home atmosphere. There is an undercover storage for bicycles for your convenience, and a general store is located two miles away at Rosthwaite, and of course Keswick has extensive shopping facilities.
