From your pitch, you will get spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains such as Blencathra, Skiddaw, Latrigg, Helvellyn, and Helvellyn range including Clough Head. We are within easy reach of Scafell Pike and Catbells and many more mountain and fells that are just as wonderful. From within 2 miles are the near-by Lakes, waters, meres, and tarns of Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Thirlmere, Rydal, Ullswater, and Windermere to within 20 miles. "Tewet tarn" is practically on our doorstep. The majestic Lakeland scenery of Thrilkeld, Keswick, Bassenthwaite, Braithwaite, and Borrowdale within 5 miles.

It's just a one mile walk to the nearest eating places & pubs in the delightful Village of Threlkeld, and approximately 3 miles to the pretty market Town of Keswick where you will find a good array of more restaurants and pubs. There are lots of walks from the site and a bus service available to Keswick and Threlkeld. We are located in the beautiful valley of St. John's-in-the-Vale about 1/2 a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. The site is surrounded by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing in the idyllic setting, 'or' if you are more adventurous, we are ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding, and all the other attractions in the North Lakes.
