A warm welcome and homemade cake awaits you at our 5 star, luxury self catering cottages. Squirrel Cottage sleeps 2 in luxury, with period features and modern renovation as well as a stunning en suite bathroom and a 4 poster bed, making it perfect for a romantic break. Fox Howe cottage sleeps 4, with period features, all mod cons, Parker Knoll seating and a fireplace built from local stone. We regret that we cannot offer disabled access. However we are family friendly and accept pets, by arrangement.

Keats said there was no such thing as time or space in the Lake District. You will find the same during your explorations, whether cycling, walking or splashing through the wonderful scenery. The 'Miles without Stiles' routes are suitable walks for pushchairs and Conniston Launch offers green friendly cruises across the lake. You can take your dog to visit Ruskin's home, or take the kids to the adventure playground at the Lake District's visitor centre. Couples can enjoy the beautiful flowers and fell views while experiencing the sheer joy of the lake district.
Rooms Description
Both cottages offer luxury 5 star accommodation. Squirrel Cottage sleeps 2. The ground floor has an open plan living space with lounge, kitchen and dining space. On the first floor there is a spacious open plan attic bedroom with king size four poster bed. There is a corner bath for two and a separate shower, wash hand basin and WC. Fox Howe Cottage has a spacious open plan living space with comfortable seating and a log stove. There is a fully equipped kitchen area and has recently been refurbished. There are two comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize and one twin, both en suite.
Specialities
Each cottage has its own patio space with barbecue equipment provided. All guests are welcome to use the garden. Pets welcome by arrangement. Squirrel Cottage features a 4 poster bed and Fox Howe Cottage has a locally built fireplace. Family friendly.

Directions
From the M6 exit at junction 40 and take the A66 signed Keswick. At the roundabout (17 miles) go straight ahead (2nd exit) now signed Cockermouth and Workington. Take the 5th exit on the left(approx 3 miles). After 1 mile there is a bus stop on the left. We are the next driveway on the left.
