HERDWICK CROFT GUEST HOUSE - The farmhouse is set in 300 acres of grassland and woodland, bounded by the River Derwent and Bassenthwaite Lake. The large detached house was built in the 1930's to accommodate the Wilson family who ran a prosperous sheep farm. The Dairy (refurbished from an old dairy!) has been refurbished to the highest standard. The fitting of the building has been well designed to make the best use of the space yet retain the character of the building. There is a wonderful patio area and garden outside the front door with a table and chairs so you can enjoy a drink or dinner outside. In the Summer months you are treated to a wonderful display with the many flowers and plants planted around the cottage.

HERDWICK CROFT CARAVAN AND TOURING SITE - Herdwick Croft Carvan Park is a small, secluded, yet well equipped site at the Northern end of Bassenthwaite Lake, within easy reach of the best of the English Lake District. The site has static holiday homes for hire, sleeping up to six people in comfort, or sites for your own caravan or touring vehicle. There are excellent facilities including: - Hard standings - Toilets and Showers - Electric Hook-ups - Chemical and Waste water disposal - Shop - selling basic supplies, sweets etc - Launderette

Rooms Description

The house has two large, luxuriously furnished en-suite letting rooms. Both bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard and have their own colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, clock radio and hair dryer. The rooms are light and airy with large bay windows. One bedroom has an en-suite with a bath and the other with a shower. Breakfast is served in the traditional dining room, cooked to order using fresh local produce. The Dairy has one good size bedroom with double bed, colour television and clock/radio. There is a bathroom with w.c, sink and shower. There is also living room. The living area has a large sofa (which also doubles as a sofa bed) and a large colour television.
