Gerry and Elsie Empson promise you a warm and friendly welcome at Lynwood, our Bed and Breakfast in Keswick. Our large Victorian B & B, built in the local Skiddaw slate in the 1850's, is ideally situated in a quiet residential area, yet only 5 minutes walk from Keswick town centre and all Keswick's amenities.

Gerry has been walking in Keswick and the Lake District for over 30 years and has gained a vast knowledge of the area and is always pleased to pass this onto our guests. This applies whether they are taking up walking in Keswick for the first time and would like some help and advice, are regular walkers, or just need a map or general information about the area. We have lots of maps, guide books, compasses etc which are all freely available for the use of guests during their stay at our Keswick Bed and Breakfast. Also useful are our drying facilities. Bicycle storage is also available. For your extra comfort we are a Non Smoking establishment.We have six spacious en-suite rooms - two doubles, two twin/kingsize doubles, a single and a four poster room for that special occasion. All rooms have central heating, TV, Radio/Alarm clock, tea/coffee making facilities. All our food is Home Cooked by Elsie who is a qualified cook. We use only fresh Keswick produced food whenever possible and is served in our spacious dining room. You can enjoy a hearty Cumberland Breakfast, or choose something lighter if you prefer. Vegetarians are also catered for. Wholesome Packed Lunches are also available on request.
