Ferndene Guest House is situated in the stunning Keswick on Derwentwater amidst the spectacular Northern Lake District National Park. A warm welcome will greet you as you arrive at this charming Victorian property that has been recently refurbished. There are six tastefully decorated and colour co-ordinated guest rooms, three with en-suite facilities and three with a shared bathroom. There is also a suite with its own lounge, bedroom and bathroom, perfect for longer stays. All rooms have been equipped with everything that you would need to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Guests can look forward to a delicious Cumbrian breakfast each day, made from local produce.

Keswick is a small market town with a variety of shops, museums, art and craft galleries, a cinema, two large public parks and the well known Theatre by the Lake. Ferndene is a just a ten minute walk to the lakeshore where you can hire a rowing boat or a motor boat or you can go to nearby Friar's Crag with its beautiful views, climbing wall, leisure pool, tennis and bowls. Keswick and the surrounding villages offer excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as plenty of places to visit, including Honister Slate Mine, Jennings Brewery, Puzzling Place, Cars of the Stars Museum and many more.

There are three en-suite rooms comprising of one double, one double that can be converted to a twin room and a family room with a double bed and bunk beds. These rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, colour television, radio/alarm clock and a refreshment tray. The standard rooms have the use of a bathroom across the landing and include two double rooms and one double that can be converted into a twin. There is also a suite located on the ground floor and comprises of a large and comfortable bedroom with kingsize bed, a spacious and tastefully furnished lounge with colour television and DVD player and a newly fitted en-suite bathroom with both a bath and a shower.

Ferndene Guest House use local and Fair Trade produce whenever possible. Vegetarian breakfasts are offered and special diets can be catered for. Packed lunches are available on request. Guests can have use of wireless Internet connection and a private car park is available.
