Just ten minutes from the busy market town of Keswick, this charming house was built in 1851 and is the former home of the Victorian novelist Tomas Hall Cain. Family run for the last twenty years and retaining many of its period features, the house offers a warm and inviting place to spend a while in the beautiful Lake District.

Recently refurbished, there are two en-suite rooms available at Ash Tree House. The double with two delightful windows overlooking the garden and glimpses of the fells. Equipped with colour TV and video and tea and coffee making facilities. The twin room is a spacious, light and comfortable place with extra room for an additional bed for a third person or child if required. With views over Latrigg and the nearby fells and comes equipped with TV and video and tea and coffee making facilities. For the comfort of guests, we are a non smoking house. In the morning awake to a freshly cooked traditional English breakfast to set you up for the day.
