Sweeney's Bar commands a perfect central Keswick location, close to market town Keswick's many attractions including specialist shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and the cinema and theatres. Sweeney's offers an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Northern Lake District which includes such superb peaks as Skiddaw and Blencathra. Sweeney's Bar Restaurant and Rooms offers a unique venue in Keswick town centre, set over two floors, with a ground floor restaurant and lower bar lounge, furnished in a modern contemporary style. We offer excellent food, fine wines and stylish bedrooms combining traditional Lakeland character with contemporary style.
In our Bar Restaurant there is an extensive a la carte menu with daily specials featuring traditional English and Mediterranean dishes, including local specialties, using only the finest local produce. Our Bar Lounge offers fine wines, local real ales and a wide range of malt whiskies in addition to premium lagers and a full range of spirits. You can enjoy all of these outside in our colourful beergarden during the summer months.
Rooms Description
Sweeney's offers guests a choice of four attractively appointed bedrooms comprising two double and two twin/family rooms, sleeping up to four people. We welcome children and can provide cots if requested. All bedrooms are furnished in a contemporary style and include en suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet), colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. For special occasions we can arrange flowers, chocolates and chilled champagne to be waiting in your room upon arrival.

Sweeny's offers a choice of discount deals and special breaks to guests which include our Midweek Summer Special, Offer valid Sunday to Thursday until the end of July 2005. Also available is our Long Weekend Special. Guests staying for Friday & Saturday night, get Sunday night accommodation at half price valid until end March 2006. Sweeney's Bar, Restaurant & Rooms also offers a three night package for both Christmas and New Year, inclusive of your accommodation, full Lakeland breakfast and either Christmas Day Luncheon or New Years Eve Gala dinner respectively.

Directions
From the north, exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 toward Keswick. Upon entering Keswick follow the main road through town, continuing straight through the traffic lights, turning left at the mini-roundabout and parking in Central car park (guests are entitled to one parking permit per room). The rear entrance to Sweeney's is located to the right hand side of this car park. From the South: Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 toward Windemere and the A591. Continue to Keswick located 20 miles to the North of Windemere on the A591. Upon entering Keswick follow the main road through town, continuing straight through the traffic lights, turning left at the mini-roundabout and parking in Central car park (guests are entitled to one parking permit per room). The rear entrance to Sweeney's is located to the right hand side of this car park. By Rail, From the North take the train to Carlisle and transfer to the Number 555 bus for Lancaster from outside the station to Keswick. From the South, take the train to Windemere and transfer to the Number 555 bus for Carlisle from outside the station direct to Keswick. By Bus, from the North take the Number 555 bus from Carlisle toward Lancaster from outside the train station at Carlisle direct to Keswick. From the South, take the Number 555 bus for Carlisle from outside the train station at Windemere, direct to Keswick.
