Talcomb is a characterful self catering cottage converted from an 18th Century water driven saw mill. The cottage is nestled beside the beck at the foot of the Seldom Seen Ravine in the hamlet of Seldom Seen on the outskirts of Thornthwaite Village, Talcomb. The larger village of Braithwaite is just a mile away where you will find a country pub and hotels. Alternatively, the bustling market town of Keswick with its many shops, pubs and restaurants is only three miles away.
The lounge and dining area has a wonderful cosy feel due to the low ceilings, oak beams and real coal fire. The lounge is equipped with colour TV, video and CD player and is furnished with two comfortable settees and a dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, washer and dryer and has all the pots, pans and utensils you will need. For those who visit during the warmer months there is outdoor seating and patio furniture is available.The main double room has views over Comb Beck and towards Winlatter Forest. The twin bedroom has views over the wooded area opposite.Well behaved pets are welcome. On site parking is available.
