The Saplings Cottage is set among fields and woodland in rolling countryside near the picturesque area of Bassenthwaite lake. It is an ideal base for enjoying all that the Lake District has to offer, from the spectacular scenery to the variety of pretty villages and the busy market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth. The Cumbrian coast is within easy reach, as are Carlisle and the Scottish Borders and the beautiful fells of nearby Borrowdale which offers excellent walking by Derwentwater which, along with Bassenthwaite lake, offer angling and watersports. Also close by are golf, 5 courses, go-karting, climbing, parascending and pony trekking.
