The farmhouse is ideally located in the charming hamlet of Motherby, just four miles from the shores of Ullswater. The market town of Penrith is six miles to the east and Keswick is twelve miles away. The northern and eastern fells of the English Lake District, including the popular Blencathra, Helvellyn and High Street Mountains, lie within easy reach for the keen fell walker.

The property has been sympathetically modernised and has lost none of its original charm, with log fires adding to the warm homely atmosphere. Bacon was once cured at the farmhouse and the hooks used for the purpose can still be seen embedded in the old oak beams. A hearty English breakfast is provided to start the day and our legendary home cooked evening meals are sure to satisfy the largest of outdoor appetites.
