Lane Head Farm is run by husband and wife team Josette and Mark Bayley, as featured in the AA's Best B&B 2010 and The Sunday Times' 52 Brilliant Weekend Breaks for 2010. The former farmhouse has been lovingly restored and modernised to offer AA 4 Star and Visit Britain 4 star with Silver Award Guest Accommodation in a charming residence retaining many of its original beams and features. The farmhouse is superbly located for experiencing all that the Lake District has to offer, yet lies in the quieter and less commercial part of the Northern Lakes.

Activities and amenities available within easy reach of Lane Head include pony trekking, golf, walking, swimming, sailing, fishing and water sports. Should you wish to venture farther afield, the Scottish Borders, Hadrian's Wall and a variety of historic castles can be reached on day trips. We do not accommodate pets or children under 12 years old. Breakfast and a 2 or 3 course evening meal (Monday - Saturday) are served here, we offer good quality cuisine using local produce, whenever possible. For those who like a drink with their meal, we offer a selection of wines beers and spirits.

Rooms Description

Our seven quality en-suite bedrooms all have flat screen colour TVs (20in or 22in)with Freeview, ipod docking alarm clocks, hairdryers, complimentary tea and coffee trays with complimentary mineral water on arrival and complimentry toiletries. Two of our larger rooms have oak four poster double beds. A twin and four double rooms and are also available. Single occupancy starts at £45pn but may be charged at full room rate, please feel free to enquire.

Specialities

Packed lunches are also available and flasks filled on request. Home cooked evening meals available Monday to Saturday. 2 courses £16.95pp, 3 courses £20.95pp. Vegetarian and special diets catered for with prior notification. Local and Fair Trade products used. Car parking provided free of charge (car park holds up to 9 cars; cars parked at owners risk).
