The site is part of a Nature Reserve and has historical references dating back to the 16th Century. Relax, unwind, and watch red squirrels, deer, dippers, kingfishers, heron, goldcrest and lots more. The nearby market towns of Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are crammed with historic buildings, a range of delightful small shops offering crafts, antiques and local specialities and a superb choice of country pubs. The Northern Lakes are all accessible as are trips to North Cumbria, the Pennines and the Scottish Borders.
The Mill was featured in The Sunday Times Travel Supplement in May 2005 and sleeps from 2 to 4 guests. Set at the foot of a stunning waterfall, this converted watermill provides the perfect luxury get away. With a contemporary open plan and wonderfully luxurious interior, The Mill provides spacious accommodation on two floors for one or two couples. A Welcome pack of homemade bread, butter, jam, homemade marmalade, tea, ground coffee, milk, sugar, homemade cake and champagne awaits you on arrival. Private parking for 2 cars is provided, and The Mill has a fully inclusive tariff. Full gas central heating is throughout, and sorry no pets allowed. The property with its open-plan staircase and balcony overlooking the river is not suitable for children hence the property is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. The Mill is non smoking throughout.
