Kirkland Hall Holiday Cottages nestle in the foothills of the North Pennines, a region designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' very close to the UK Lake District. Home to some of the rarest plants and wildlife in Britain, Dr David Bellamy describes it as 'England's last Wilderness.' Towering above us is Cross Fell, the highest point on the backbone of England which looks down over the lush Eden Valley with its bustling market towns, sandstone villages with traditional inns and cosy tea shops, and onto the jewel in Eden's crown - Lake Ullswater.
These self-catering holiday cottages are serviced and the beds are made up with fresh linen ready for your arrival, all bed linen is provided. Towels can be hired by arrangement. All cottages are equipped with, dishwashers, microwave ovens, gas hobs & electric ovens, televisions and radios. The holiday homes have full gas fired central heating and double glazing. All gas & electricity is included in the price. Each cottage has a woodburning stove, logs are provided free on a saw your own basis. There is a communal utility room with a chest freezer and a washing machine and tumble dryer for use by all residents at the self catering cottages. Cots and highchairs are available but we do not supply cot bedding. Patio furniture and barbecues are supplied. One well behaved dog is allowed in Shearers Cottage strictly by prior arrangement. Short breaks including weekend breaks are available in low season.
