Located in the beautiful Eden Valley between the pretty villages of Kirkoswald and Renwick. Howscales has an elevated position with uninterrupted views of tranquil pastures and woodlands to the hills of the Lake District and Pennines. Built in the 17th Century the barns and byres have now been converted into delightful fully equipped holiday homes. Each with their own character and retaining many of the original features such as the beautiful exposed oak beams.

Howscales cottages are set around a courtyard and surrounded by award winning gardens, lawns and views of magnificent open countryside. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden whatever the season. There are many quiet corners where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the idyllic surroundings. Howscales is superb for nature enthusiasts spot an array of birds, wildlife and Deer. An ideal base for walking and cycling (only a mile from the C2C route) or for exploring the Eden Valley, Lakes, Pennines and Hadrian’s Wall.

A selection of 5 cottages able to sleep 2-5 guests. All cottages comprise of bedrooms with honey pine furniture , comfortable beds with duvets. Fully equipped kitchens.A lounge area with radio, TV, DVD, VCR & CD player. Central heating. Cot & high chair available. Ample car Parking. Storage area for bicycles, golfing & fishing equipment. Laundry facilities are available(coin operated). Well behaved pets are welcome.
