Brookfield House in Shap is a charming AA 4 diamond guest house, ideally located for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Beautiful Ullswater, Windermere and Derwent Water are all within easy driving distance, and we are situated close to the M6 Motorway (turn off at Junction 39) and mid-way between Kendal and Penrith. The guest house is also an excellent location for breaking your journey between the North and the South. Guests can expect spectacular views, with the front of the House overlooking the fells and local farmland.

Facilities include a relaxing Residents Lounge as well as a well-stocked bar. Breakfast is served in our comfortable and spacious Dining Room which looks out onto the well-kept garden with views of the Fells. Brookfield has an excellent reputation for fine food and Home Cooking is a speciality, with vegetarian options available. The B&B benefits from a Restaurant and Residential Licence.
