The Quiet Side is a family run caravan and camping site situated in a secluded position amongst the stunning fells overlooking Lake Ullswater. There are many beautiful walks starting from outside the site and numerous activities and attractions a short drive away. The site is conveniently placed, easily accessible from the M6 motorway and ideally placed for touring the magnificent English Lake District. It's not surprising that 80% of our visitors have stayed with us before !

The site has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Environmental Award an facilities on site include a well stocked shop, olde worlde bar, children's adventure playground and younger children's playroom. The site has clean and pleasant shower blocks with free hot water to showers and sinks and hair dryers. The laundry room contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and deep sink for hand washing.
