5 Exceptional Holiday Cottages, Children And Pets Are Welcome, Sleeping From 2 Up To 17 People

Our holiday cottages are ideal whether you want an all action holiday in the Lakes or a quiet place in the country. They are an ideal base from which to explore South Cumbria and the Lake District and each holiday cottage is decorated to the highest standard. All our holiday cottages have full central heating and either a wood burning stove or an open fire.

The holiday cottages are set in the beautiful unspoilt landscape overlooking the Duddon Estuary between the market towns of Ulverston and Broughton-in-Furness. If you want to take part in Lakeland activities, Coniston is 20 minutes drive, while Windermere is just 25 minutes away. Only three miles away are the remains of stone hut circles dating from the bronze age, close to a tarn where the seagulls nest in spring.

Rooms Description

Keepers Cottage Sleeps 4-6. This very pretty cottage has two double bedrooms downstairs and a very large sitting room/dining area upstairs which is 28 feet long and 12 feet wide with a wood burning stove, TV and video. There is full central heating throughout. The bathroom has a bath with shower, WC and basin. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There is a small lawned garden at the front of the cottage and car parking and barbecue area to the side. If you want, you can fit two more people in by using the sofa bed in the sitting room. Old Beckstones Sleeps 6-10. This was the original farmhouse until about 1880. It has recently undergone extensive renovation. It is decorated to the highest standard and all the rooms are a very good size. One of the bedrooms has bunk beds as well as twin so you can put all the children in together. Beckstones Farmhouse Sleeps 10-17. This farmhouse has been recently renovated. It has wonderful views over the Duddon Estuary and is surrounded by farmland. The garden is very large and has a stream running through it. Close by is Old Beckstones, which sleeps 6-10, and the two could be taken together for very large parties. There is lots of parking, plus outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The Cart House Sleeps 6. The Cart House was restored three years ago to the highest standard as an overflow for the big house. Built of traditional stone with a slate roof, it dates back to the 17th Century and combines old charm with modern comfort. It has a small private lawned garden overlooking the foaling field, an outside seating area and a barbecue. Inside it is beautifully decorated with some stunning paint effects. It has full central heating and a wood burning stove.

All our cottages are beautifully decorated to the highest standard and we can provide cots and high chairs for your children, if needed. We are surrounded by farmland, overlooking the sea and offer peace and quiet when you need it, whilst we are close enough to the Lakes and all that they have to offer.
