Lovely B&B and smallholding in Blennerhasset, a small Cumbrian village, ideal for exploring the quiet unspoilt beauty of the Western Lake District.
Friendly and relaxing working smallholding and B&B in the heart of Blennerhasset, a small traditional Cumbrian village, close to the quiet unspoilt beauty of the Western Lake District. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, using home reared produce. Relax in the sauna & hot tub or in front of the wood burning stove. Beech House is located on a 4 acre smallholding beside the River Ellen where we raise free-range Saddleback pigs and hens; as well as a small flock of rare breed Ryeland sheep. Our hearty Cumberland breakfasts are all cooked to order using our own home reared or locally grown produce. Alternatively select from juice, fresh fruit, cereal and homemade breads.

Beech House is ideally situated to take advantage of the many attractions of the Western Lakes from walking the fells, Skiddaw is just five miles away; taking in the sights of Cockermouth, the birth place of William Wordsworth; or playing a round of golf on Silloth’s golf links. If you are going out for the whole day we can provide a picnic lunch. After a busy day exploring the sights relax in the lounge, in front of the wood burning stove; in the sauna or hot tub or a hammock in the garden over looking the village green. Evening meals are available on request.
Rooms Description
We have 3 light and spacious bedrooms all newly re-furbished using traditional furnishings complimented by all the conveniences of modern living including digital TV, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer, alarm clock, robes and luxury toiletries. Choose between the master suite with its own private sitting area and ensuite bathroom with spa bath; a double room with views over the village green and an ensuite shower room or a twin room with a large private bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Directions
From north Leave the M6 at junction 44, at Greymoorhill Roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A7. At Eden Bridge roundabout take the 4th exit, signposted Workington onto the A595. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit. Signposted Workington, Keswick, onto the A595. After 5 miles, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit, signposted Workington, Keswick, Cockermouth, onto the A595. After 10 miles, just past Mealsgate, turn right at the Blennerhasset/ Baggrow sign. On entering the village turn left at the black& white finger post. Beech House is 100yds on the right just past the end of the village green. From South: From M6 Junction 40 at Penrith follow the signs for A66 Keswick. Follow the A66 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the roundabout at Keswick. Take the third exit on the roundabout signed A591 Carlisle. Follow the A591 for approximately 15 miles. At the T-junction with the A595 turn right, signposted Carlisle. Follow the A595 for about a mile, past the Greyhound Inn. The turning for Blennerhasset/Baggrow is next left. On entering the village turn left at the black& white finger post. Beech House is 100yds on the right just past the end of the village green.
