Our Riverside Restaurant offers a varied menu of locally sourced ingredients.The Whitewater Hotel and Leisure Club commands a perfect position on the banks of the River Leven, which flows from the southern end of Lake Windermere, just over a mile away. This position close to Windermere means that central Lakes attractions such as the World of Beatrix Potter and boatrips on Lake Windermere are all easily accessible. The Whitewater Hotel caters for the business/conference visitor and leisure holiday guests. Relax in our restful lounge area to read the morning papers, or plan your day over coffee. Our in-house bar has a friendly pub atmosphere and offers a place for lunch or an early evening meal, or to watch the wildlife, and the Haverthwaite Steam Trains from the Riverside Terrace.
Only the best of fine dining is available at Whitewater. Why not treat yourself to a Lakeland Dining experience at the Riverside Restaurant. Our menu reflects the wealth of fine local produce. An extensive wine list is also available. Our own riverside Fisherman's Bar offers an informal atmosphere for a bar lunch. The hotel has established a reputation for it's live Jazz nights, and has been promoting live jazz in the Fisherman's Bar since June 1994. All our bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with en-suite facilities and all modern amenitites including satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities and mini bars. Half of our rooms have riverside views, and we can also offer you one of our Coronet Rooms which are ideally suited for your special occasion or romantic Lake District weekend break.
Our Lakeland Suite and the Riverside Restaurant have been granted a licence for civil weddings. Details are available from the Registrar in Ulverston. We charge £500 to include use of the room, our licence and fresh flower arrangements to compliment your choice of colour scheme. Our lounge, with its view of the river, and its own bar, is set aside for your private use for you and your guests. Our much sought after Lake District location, combined with the excellent facilities, means we have a great deal to offer those seeking a conference or meeting venue. Our well equipped conference room can accommodate up to 80 people, and our staff are fully experienced in the needs of a busy conference schedule. We can organise extras such as bacon sandwiches for a pre-shoot breakfast, a formal luncheon for 100 or Cream Tea for 50 in the lounge. Your stay gives you membership of 'Cascades' our own Health and Fitness Club. Enjoy a swim in the ozone-purified pool, or really unwind in the whirlpool, sauna, steam room or solariums. The more energetic may prefer the championship squash courts, or in the grounds you can enjoy the all-weather tennis courts, a putting course and driving net. To explore locally, Mountain Bikes are available for hire.

We're just 20 minutes drive from the M6 Motorway. Take junction 36 and follow the A590 to Barrow. Just through Newby Bridge there is a stretch of dual carriageway which ends with a sharp bend to the left. A few hundred yards along the straight that follows, the Whitewater Hotel and Lakeland Village is the turning on the right.
