From our elevated position at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, where the National Park woodlands border our back garden, Blenheim Lodge can boast some of the best views of Lake Windermere and the National Park. Ten of our bedrooms have STUNNING views of the Lake, mountains and fells beyond, some panoramic. One has tranquil countryside views to the National Park woodlands, where you may see the wild deer graze. All rooms are individually appointed with en-suite or private facilties, colour television, hospitality trays, and toiletries. We have recently redecorated and refurbished many of our bedrooms with beautiful new and antique furniture, including fabulously romantic French Louis XV beds with roccoco details and solid brass and iron beds. Some of our rooms are described below and you can see pictures of our rooms and the views from them on our own website. Most beds have pocket-sprung mattresses. The Langdale has a shower en-suite and is the size of a drawing room, overlooking Old Bowness with panoramic Lake and mountain views. Decorated in Laura Ashley colours, it has an antique 5-foot kingsize William IV four poster bed with comfy chairs set before the huge triple floor to ceiling bay windows where you can sit and admire the glorious spectacular views. Another large en-suite room is The Fairfield which has a fantastically carved Louis XV suite with a large king-sized 5' bed. An antique iron daybed set in the large floor to ceiling triple bay windows offers an irresistible resting place, where you can sink luxuriously into huge, plump, velvet cushions, to gaze at the stunning Lake and mountain views of north Lake Windermere. The Dalesway is a romantic French boudoir with a new shower en-suite decorated in Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. The antique furniture in this room includes a fabulous Louis XV double bed with roccoco details and a 1800s daybed with its original paint and decoration intact, complemented by pretty French wall lights with crystal drops. The Dalesway overlooks the National Park from bay windows, creating an 'away from it all' feeling amidst beautiful countryside. It is a quiet retreat with a pastoral feel, where if you are lucky, you will see the wild deer grazing from the windows. Or enjoy your beauty sleep in our stunning solid antiqued brass double bed from the up market bed shop, And So To Bed. An imposing piece of furniture, this bed has a bespoke pocket sprung mattress set by Relyon and is ultra comfortable! A pretty en-suite room decorated with Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings, The Blue Room has French painted antique furniture, including two dainty chairs set in the single bay window from which you can see the Lake. Situated on the ground floor, with views to the north of Lake Windermere, is a small cozy room decorated with striking Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings. The Poppies has a romantically styled white-painted iron bed from Feather and Black, with some period furniture and lighting. There is a lovely new shower ensuite with heated towel rail. Both The Blue Room and The Poppies are particularly accessible to people who prefer ground floor accommodation. So, come visit with us.
