Virgina Cottage bed and breakfast guest house is located in the beautiful Lakeland village of Bowness, just 150 yards from the shores of Lake Windermere. This is truly a unique guest house full of traditional country character with all the modern facilities of a large hotel. Virginia Cottage is the ideal base from which to explore the areas many fine restaurants, charming shops, tea shops and quaint pubs.
There is much to see and do in the local area including a lake cruise, Dove Cottage and the Wordworth museum, Blackwell House and the Beatrix Potter Attraction. Return to the cottage for homemade cakes and sherry which are available throughout the day before enjoying an intimate romantic night in watching a film from our extensive DVD library. Guests also have unlimited free use of the leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club only a couple of minute's walk from Virginia Cottage.

Directions
Take Junction 36 from the M6 and follow signs for windermere on A590 then A591, at windermere turn left by windermere hotel following signs for "bowness and lake (1 1/4m)" go through village and keep on road until bowness village is reached, at mini-roundabout carry straight on then turn next left onto kendal road, we are approx 100mts up on left next to Royal Oak pub.
