Historic Lakeland guesthouse Dene House was built in 1887, and is exquisitely charming guest house which carefully blends the modern with the traditional. Denehouse has been awarded a 4 red diamond rating from the AA for quality service and comfort. We have retained many of the original features of the house, whilst ensuring guests are provided with the everyday modern comforts of home. Denehouse's Lake District location couldn't be better. We occupy a superb position on the edge of Bowness village, with its many pubs, restaurants and attractions including the World of Beatrix Potter. Lake Windermere itself is only a three minute walk away and Windermere village is less than a mile away. Guests have no need to worry about parking. For your convenience Denehouse has its own private car parking facilities.

Guests staying at Dene House can expect high standards, quality service, fabulous breakfasts and superior accommodation. After checking into your room, we will be pleased to serve you complimentary tea or coffee with biscuits. A choice of freshly prepared breakfasts are served from 8.45am until 9.30am in our bright and airy dining room. Start your day with a light, full or vegetarian breakfast from our extensive menu. We cater for most dietary requirements. Please advise us when you book. Unfortunately we do not accept pets.

Rooms Description

Guests can choose from 7 beautifully decorated bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms have king size double beds with en-suite shower facilities. We have one single bedroom with a private bathroom and one king size double bedroom with a private shower room. All our rooms are individually furnished and decorated to a high standard in a modern and contemporary style. Each bedroom has a comfortable bed with quality Egyptian cotton bedding,luxury toiletries and crisp, white cotton towels in the bathroom, a hot drinks refreshment tray, hair dryer and iron and ironing board, a colour tv and radio alarm clock with built-in cd player and, as an added luxury, a wine chiller.
