Guests staying at Burnside Park not only get luxury self-catering holiday cottage or apartment accommodation, they also have access to a superb range of leisure facilities, both outdoor and indoor, catering for children and adults. Burnside Cottages and Apartments have been designed to harmonise with the Lakeland landscape and have luxurious internal decor with contemporary styled kitchens and charming dining areas. The cottages and apartments are luxuriously equipped to the highest standards with fine furniture, fabrics and all the modern amenities. Sleeping 2-6 persons, there is no need to bring linen. The cottages and apartments are usually let on a weekly basis however we are often able to allow letting for shorter periods particularly out of peak season. We're ideally placed in Bowness, with easy access to all Bowness attractions including specialist arts and crafts shops and ample real ale pubs and restaurants, as well as the children's favourite, The World of Beatrix Potter.

The leisure facilities on-site are perfect for families. Children have their own outdoor play area within the confines of the resort grounds, and we have recently opened our new cafe on-site, serving light snacks, plenty of vegetarian alternatives including vegetarian breakfasts, and a great kids menu. We offer two disabled friendly apartments in our new Premier Apartment development. Please note, we have a minimum of 2 nights (min 3 nights over bank holidays) or full week accommodation subject to availability. Prices range for a week from £425 - £1050 depending on date & unit size.

Rooms Description

All the rooms are maintained to the highest possible standards of housekeeping. The master bedrooms in the two bed properties boast en-suite bathrooms complete with baths and showers. The beds themsleves are of superior quality. Many of the properties have either a sofa-bed or pull-down "murphy" beds to allow for extra occupancy, again these are of superior quality and come complete with bedding. You will also discover a welcome attention to detail with radio alarms, hair driers and coat hangers all provided. Consistant with the properties as a whole the bedrooms are tastefully decorated with carefully chosen fixtures and fittings, ornaments and pictures,soft furnishings and lighting In line with our ETC "Four Star" rating you will find: - Excellent overall level of quality - Ample space and good quality furniture - All double beds with access from both sides - Very good care and attention to detail will be obvious throughout

Our on-site all-weather leisure environment, Parklands Country Club, has something for everyone. The club incorporates swimming pool with children's area, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and jet showers. The more energetic may prefer a game of badminton or squash, or a workout in our well equipped Gymnasium. On the first floor is a comprehensive Club lounge and bar, two full-size snooker tables, solarium, viewing galleries overlooking the squash courts and swimming pool. At the club reception a whole host of outdoor activities may be booked. For those wishing to pamper themselves Parklands has a beauty salon specialising in massage and a wide range of beauty treatments - all reservations for treatments to be made by prior arrangement and subject to availability. Designed and equipped to the highest standards, Parklands Country Club facilities are fully available to all guests staying in the Burnside hotel and the self-catering luxury cottages and apartments.
