Brooklands gueshouse is a charming, family run guest house, built in Lakelands stone, and pleasantly situated in a lovely rural setting just south of Bowness village, with fine views of Lake Windermere and the Fells. We're located in the perfect spot for exploring all Windermere attractions, including boats sailing regularly from Bowness Bay along lake Windermere to Ambleside and Lakeside for the steam trains and the freshwater aquarium. The world of Beatrix Potter, Windermere Steam Boat Museum and Blackwell, The Arts and Crafts House, are also situated close by in Bowness. Brooklands has five cosy and individually furnished bedrooms with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television and central heating. We have a range of rooms including single, twin, double and family rooms, all with en-suite facilities.

Guests can expect a hearty Lakeland breakfast served from 8.30am. If you are off for a day's walking, why not take one of our packed lunches with you. We are open all year and have private parking off road alongside the house. We offer free fishing permits for guests for the local waters.
