Directions

From the M6 South, take exit 36, then the A591 past the turn off to Kendal. At the roundabout, take the B5284 signposted Crook and Bowness. After 7.5 miles turn left onto Lyth Valley Road. Fayrer Garden Hotel is 400 years up on the right. From the North off the M6 take junction 40 (Penrith). Then follow the A66 towards Keswick. Turn left at Threlkeld signposted Windermere A591. Take a right at the mini roundabout towards Bowness, then right again at the mini island, then first left (Kendal Road) onto A5074 for 1 mile.
