Bank Ground Farm Guesthouse is situated within 60 acres of outstanding Lake District countryside between the villages of Coniston and Hawkshead. This remarkable accommodation offers 7 luxury and individually furnished rooms, original 15th Century features and excellent cooked breakfasts. Additionally, Bank Ground Farm benefits from over half a mile of Lake Coniston frontage with a boating area and jetty for the use of the guests who are able to bring their own craft.

There are so many leisure activities on offer in the nearby villages, including walking, cycling, boating, fishing, golf, off road adventures, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, high ropes courses, shooting, ballooning and for those who would rather be pampered, there is a fabulous Spa and leisure centre locally. Local attractions include a ride on a Gondola - an elegant steam yacht, or how about a visit to Brantwood, the stunning former home of John Ruskin, known for his influence on art and architecture, and more about him can be discovered at the Ruskin Museum. You can also visit Beatrix Potter's house where all her belongings still remain.

There is a tearoom in the farmhouse that is open to both residents and non-residents where hot and cold drinks and home baked cakes and scones can be enjoyed. The tearoom is open until late October.
