Charming 4 Star Orchard Cottage guest house in Coniston affords spectacular views towards Coniston Old Man and the surrounding Lakeland Fells. Conveniently situated just a ten minute walk from Coniston village amenities and the Ruskin Museum, we extend a warm welcome to walkers and cyclists and offer an outstanding location close to the popular Cumbria Way, making us a superb B&B stopover. 

Bedrooms

Open all year round, we offer three beautifully presented en-suite rooms to guests including two double rooms and one twin room which can be a king-size on request. Guests also have open access to a relaxing lounge equipped with a TV. Ample off road parking is available on-site. 

Breakfast

We serve delicious breakfasts in our light and airy dining room. You can have anything you like from cereals and fruit to a full English breakfast, the choice is entirely yours.

A wide choice of Central Lakes outdoor activities and attractions are within easy reach including boat trips on Coniston Water, family cycling and the Go Ape Activity Centre in Grizedale Forest and beautiful Brantwood, Ruskin's historic home alongside Coniston Water.

Coniston offers a splendid setting at the northern end of Coniston Water, overlooked by the Old Man Of Coniston which rises 2,627ft. Highly popular with visitors, it has a strong industrial background with copper being mined from its fells since the Bronze Age. Popular Lakeland attractions within easy reach of Coniston and our guest house include the Aquarium of the Lakes, Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Coniston Water, the second largest of the Lakes.
