Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park, on the edge of the village of Far Sawrey close to Esthwaite, Hawkshead, Coniston, Tarn Hows, Ambleside and the Langdales, guests benefit from easy access to the ferry to Windermere, just a mile away. The property stands in its own grounds, offers ample off road car parking, and for the comfort of our guests is non smoking throughout. Breakfast is special at West Vale, traditionally English in style and cooked to our exacting standards. For those who prefer something lighter or a little different there are continental and vegetarian options on offer, with the addition of our a la carte breakfast menu. Guests can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our reception lounge while selecting their preferences from our fine menu. Dinner is served in our fully licensed, award winning restaurant which is also open to non-residents. After dinner, petit fours, coffee and liquors are served in our splendid residents lounge where a roaring log fire burns during winter months.
