The Boot Inn is perfect for walkers, or as a romantic retreat in the Lakes. This charming inn is a traditional 9 bedroom Lakeland Inn dating in parts from 1578, and crammed with charm and character. Winner of numerous awards including the Les Routiers Real Ale Pub of the North 2005 and CAMRA Award winner, all 9 bedrooms have ensuite bathroom facilities and are comfortably furnished, with tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can expect spectacular views from every room as the inn is surrounded by mountains such as Scafell Pike, Harter Fell and Great Gable to name but a few. They are within daily walking distance of the Inn and overlook the Eskdale Valley. A delightful 2 bedroom cottage adjacent to the inn is also available to guests.

The Boot Inn combines both a magnificent Lakeland setting with a traditional bar with log fire, a beamed restaurant, a spacious conservatory, a games room and a drying/boot room. Outside there is a beer garden where we hold barbecues in summer, a play area for children and the kitchen garden. Well behaved dogs are most welcome, and there are a myriad of walks from the doorstep. Relax in either the Main Bar or the Snug, next to a roaring log fire. In the evening choose to dine either in our Restaurant or the Main Bar, selecting from our extensive menu featuring local produce including meat from the Valley and fish from the Lakes.
