Traditional stone family run guesthouse renowned for its breakfasts, close to shops/restaurants
Historic Rayrigg Villa Guest House is a beautiful Victorian detached house built in 1873. The B&B was once the home of a prosperous corn merchant, and sits in a perfect central Lake District position on the edge of the village of Windermere overlooking Ellerthwaite Square, and the azalea and rhododendron bushes of Library gardens. Guests can be assured of only the highest quality of service. We are members of the Cumbria Tourist Board and have been awarded Four star status by the English Tourism Council. Our full English breakfasts are extremely popular with our guests, and served between 8am -9am and there is always a warm welcome and a happy service. Non smoking establishment
Rayrigg is right in the heart of the central lakes, convenient for the village shops, restaurants and railway station, with bus stops just opposite. One mile along New Road is the bustling village of Bowness and the bay where a variety of launches and steamers ply for cruises on Lake Windermere. Other nearby attractions include The world of Beatrix Potter and the Windermere Steam Boat museum. Private car parking is off the road at the rear of the house. Guests need to drive through the white gates on the right hand side.
