The Haven Guest House in Windermere has been graded AA 4 diamond for the highest standards of quality and comfort. The B&B is a traditional Victorian house ideally located in a quiet, but central position in the attractive village of Windermere, just a short walk from the railway and bus stations, restaurants, shops and other local amenities. Lake Windermere and the walk through Elleray Woods upto Orrest Head for superb fell views are easily accessible. Parking is available for upto 3 cars and some rooms have delightful views of Coniston Fells in the distance. Our location offers excellent access to South Lakeland and favourite nearby destinations such as Ambleside, Coniston, Langdale and specialist shopping mecca Bowness.

Guests can expect a delicious, hearty grilled breakfast, traditional or vegetarian, served in our spacious dining room. Guide dogs are permitted by arrangement. The Haven B&B benefits from full central heating throughout and we welcome children over 7 years. For the comfort of all our guests we are non smoking throughout the premises. Perfectly located for walkers, we offer maps and walking guides available within the guesthouse to help you plan your day.

Rooms Description

All rooms are bright, spacious and cheerful, and most have ensuite facilities. One of our rooms contains a superb original brass bed. Three rooms are available including two with en-suite facilities, and the third bedroom with a separate private bathroom. All rooms are non-smoking and family rooms are available. Tea and coffee making facilities, a TV and toiletries are all provided.

Freshly brewed coffee and home made preserves add that special something to your hearty breakfast which includes locally produced sausages. We have walked the Lake District extensively over a number of years and can advise you on suitable routes that will suit your requirements. We have a wide selection of maps to help you plan your day.
