Located just 2 miles from Windermere, we are easily accessible from the local train station and the M6. This is also a perfect base for walking, cycling or simply touring the area. Cragwood has two bars, ideal for a pre-dinner drink and are well stocked with a variety of beers, malt whiskies and liqueurs. The old bar offers a spectacular view of Lake Windermere, our beautiful and well maintained gardens and the surrounding mountains; an ideal setting at any time of the day. The property also boasts magnificent gardens, landscaped at the turn of the century by Thomas Mawson, and are rich in Lakeland wildlife including squirrels, badgers, rabbit, fox and deer. The grounds also lead down to the shore of Lake Windermere.

All our 23 en-suite bedrooms offer TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and direct line telephones. Guests can choose from Lake View rooms, twin, double, king and four poster rooms overlooking Lake Windermere. We have recently refurbished two ground floor bedrooms for disabled access.
