The White Rose Guest House in Windermere is a delightful bed and breakfast in the heart of the English Lake District. Built in 1817, during the reign of King George III, as a family home, White Rose offers 5 well-equipped, very attractive en-suite bedrooms. Guests can expect delicious breakfasts, comfortable bedrooms and warm and friendly hospitality. Idyllic countryside surrounds the guest house, with glorious fell views. We're perfect for walkers and cyclists, and our selection of tourist maps and guides are available for guests to borrow. We are only a few minutes' drive from Lake Windermere and just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Windermere village where you will find a good selection of welcoming pubs, cosy cafes and top-class restaurants.

We run special three night deals, and other special break discounts throughout the year. Hearty breakfasts are served in our cosy breakfast room, where you can start your day with the deliciously, typical English breakfast or, if you prefer, the lighter options. All our bedrooms are en-suite with a power shower and toilet, and all have a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, and an alarm clock radio. Luxury touches abound, with fluffy white bath sheets and bath towels, changed daily when the bedrooms are serviced. Our bedrooms can accommodate two, three or four people and double bedrooms can be used for single occupation in the quieter months. We can only accept children over the age of 6 years.
