This is an elegant Victorian era property located in a quiet residential area yet within easy reach of Bowness and Lake Windermere, England's largest natural lake. Visitors have been coming to the lakes to marvel at the ever changing landscape of rivers, mountains, lakes and picturesque villages for many years and they have long been the inspiration for some of the country's greatest poets, writers and artists. The Lake District is one of the country's premier destinations for lovers of the great outdoors and the surrounding fells offer plentiful opportunities for walking and climbing. Other activities available include golf, sailing, fishing, go karting, clay pigeon shooting, archery and hot air ballooning. There are also a large number of National Trust homes and gardens well worth a visit, including Dove Cottage (the home of William Wordsworth) and Hill Top House near Sawrey, where Beatrix Potter did much of her writing. Bowness and Ambleside are home to a wide variety of shops selling unique items and outdoor gear and there are a wide number of pubs and restaurants serving dishes from all over the globe.

Rooms Description

Beaumont House B&B offers four ground floor rooms, two of which can be configured as twins or king size beds. On the first floor we have a further double bedroom and five four poster bedrooms, all with matching antique style furniture. Two of the four poster bedrooms have whirlpool baths with shower over, all have en-suite facilities. Each room is individually decorated and complete with colour TV, radio alarm clock, hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. An iron and ironing board are available on request in all rooms that do not already have one.

Specialities

Beaumont Guest House is a totally non smoking establishment. Children over the age of 10 are welcome but with the greatest respect we do ask that parents consider other guests and that their children are quiet and well behaved. We are very sorry that we do not accept pets. Off road parking is available in our own private car park. Should you be in the Lake District to celebrate a special occasion then we provide a range of romantic and speciality packages including champagne, sparkling wine, red roses, flowers, fresh fruit and chocolates.
