If you require a quiet location, comfortable well presented rooms and exceptional breakfasts then our 4 Star Silver Award Guest House is an ideal place for your short break in the English Lake District. Our rates start from as little as £40.00 per person for 2 nights in a double room and from £90.00 per room for a family of two adults and one child on a bed & breakfast basis. All of our 8 en-suite rooms have been refurbished to a high standard over the past 6 years, to give you the best in comfort and decoration and are kept spotlessly clean on a daily basis. You can choose from our premier doubles, doubles, twin, single and flexible family room and all have either a bath or shower. We aim to offer a breakfast that reflects our commitment to using fresh locally sourced produce. For our breakfast menu, we aim to tempt you with award winning Cumbrland sausage, locally cured bacon and free-range eggs. There is also smoked salmon with scrambled egg, croissant, and a range of cereals, fruit, yoghurt tea and coffee. Why not relax in our guests lounge which is full of local information on things to do in the Lake District. We have off road parking, we are totally NON SMOKING, and we cannot accept pets. For families, the minimum age of children is 3 years. One night stays are let at our discretion and are subject to premium of £10.00 per room (£5.00 for singles)Please phone for availability.

Rooms Description

All our rooms are en-suite, and individually styled. Our two Premier rooms have either a 4 poster or a king-size bed, and are on the sunny front side of the house, and have a flat screen LCD TV with a DVD player, tea/coffee tray, hairdryer and radio alarm clock. Our standard doubles, twin, singles and family room also have tea/coffee trays, either a bath or a shower, radio alarm clock and TV.

Oldfield House has many special extras for guests to enjoy during their stay. If you're celebrating a special event then why not take advantage of a flower arrangement and hand made chocolates in your room on arrival? If you are out walking all day, then we can prepare you a packed lunch. And when you come back we can dry off your boots and we clothing ready for the off the next day.
