Hilton House B&B, located in the heart of the central Lake District, is an elegant Edwardian home offering guests luxury English Tourism Council 4 diamond standard Bed and Breakfast accommodation, with beautifully furnished and decorated rooms. The guest house is a charming, character detached Edwardian gentleman's residence with woodland views to the front and back. We're located just 5 minutes' walk to the bustling village of Windermere and 10 minutes' walk to Lake Windermere and it's many attractions including boat trips and the Steamboat Museum. We're also just a short walk to lively Bowness and attractions such as children's favourite, 'The World of Beatrix Potter'. Hilton House has truly outstanding architectural features such as detailed woodwork, stained glass windows and stylish decoration throughout with interesting pictures, books and furniture. We also have two 4 poster bedrooms and ample off street car parking for all guests.

Guests will love our breakfast room at Hilton house B&B, which has a relaxing and contemporary feel to it. The colours are soft and show off the stunning antique dresser, which was originally built into the scullery, removed carefully and refurbished. The room has three lovely windows one of which has most unusual stained glass. Breakfast is a real treat with a choice of cereals, juices, grapefruit, honey, homemade marmalade, jam and marmite from the dresser. This is followed by a traditional English Breakfast, Vegetarian Breakfast, warm croissants or beans on toast. The choice is yours!

Rooms Description

All our bedrooms at Hilton House B&B have wonderful comfortable beds, en-suite shower rooms, colour TVs, refreshments trays and hairdryers. Room 1 has a Deluxe Kingsize Four Poster and is spacious and newly refurbished with a stunning hand carved four poster kingsize bed. Room 2 also has a four poster and this room has a stunning hand carved four poster bed which has windows on two sides making it really light and airy. Room 4 is another of our rooms with a gloriously comfortable antique iron and brass bed and Room 5 also has a Four poster bed. Room 5 benefits from a stunning French style hand carved four poster bed, and this room is newly refurbished in a contemporary style, as well as being south facing making it really light and airy. Room 6 also has a hand carved four poster bed and is newly redecorated. The colours are soft and contemporary with splashes of Aubergine. This is an extremely cosy and atmospheric bedroom! Rooms 7 and 8 are on the Ground Floor, with easy access. Our two ground floor rooms can be individual double rooms or can become a family suite for up to 4 people, in their own separate wing of the house (the old stable block). We have just refurbished them to a high standard with our taste for New England and Scandinavian décor.
