Cosy historic Elim Lodge guesthouse is a most attractive Lake District bed and breakfast, conveniently placed only a short walk from Lake Windermere. We're close to public transport as well, with Windermere railway station only one mile away, with good connections to Manchester, Scotland and London Euston via the West Coast main line. Or we are just a 20 minute drive from the M6 motorway. Elim Lodge was built around 1860 in the local stone and slate style, and is situated in a pretty part of Bowness village, very close to local attractions and well placed for visiting the idyllic scenery of the Lake District National Park. Amenities and facilities are numerous. We're very close to shops, restaurants, a cinema, and an internet cafe. A private car park and secure cycle storage is available to guests, and we are fair trade and environment friendly. Guests also have opportunity to relax and enjoy our pretty garden.

We offer clean, smart, value-for-money bed and breakfast accommodation, and Elim Lodge has been awarded a VisitBritain 3 star rating for quality. En-suite rooms are available. For walkers our location couldn't be better and the classic Lake District view at Biskey Howe viewpoint is only 10 minutes away. We can also give you friendly, expert advice on exploring the Lake District. The guesthouse has full central heating, and all rooms have a TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Our breakfasts will set you up for the day. We take care to use local produce. Guests have access to free leisure facilities. Families are welcome, and cots and high chairs can be provided on request. Elim Lodge is a non-smoking B&B and we are open all year round.
