Historic Holbeck Ghyll Lodge is over 100 years old, and is a charming self-catering option built of Lakeland stone. the Lodge has been awarded and English Tourist Commission grading The idyllic lawned garden is enclosed, perfect for relaxation and taking in the Lakeland views, barbecues and safe for both children and dogs. The lodge commands a perfect central Lake District location, just minutes from Ambleside and it's superb specialist arts and crafts shopping, and very close to Lake Windermere. We're also close to the historic village of Troutbeck which has an excellent 16th century pub. There are many other pubs and inns in the surround central Lake District area. Guests have easy access to many walks, plus watersports and boat trips on Windermere. The lodge is available to guests from 3pm on the day of arrival, and vacated on day of departure by 10am. Changeover day for weekly and fortnightly bookings is Saturdays.
Inside the lodge guests will love the fully fitted oak dining kitchen area, and the spacious and comfortable lounge area which has an open fire, tv and video. There is one double bedded bedroom with en-suite facilities, and two twin bedded rooms. A cot is available, and an extra single bed and stowaway bed can be utilised. Walkers, no need to worry about storage for outdoor clothing, there is ample plus all the comforts of home are included in the self-catering property such as fully automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, and deep freezer.
