The Lake District is the ideal destination for a self catering holiday or short break. The dramatic scenery and magnificent landscapes provides for every outdoor activity, drawing mountaineers, ramblers and water sport enthusiasts, as well as being the perfect backdrop for family fun holidays, celebrations and romantic breaks. Newby Bridge sits on the banks of the River Leven which issues from the southern basin of lake Windermere and is overshadowed by the Finsthwaite Height. Leaving the Newby Bridge on the Lakeside Road, you shortly come to Lakeside. Travel about five miles west from Newby Bridge and the foot of the lake and you come to the little village of Bouth.

The Lakeland Cottage Company only market properties that achieve a minimum 3 star rating with Visit Britain meaning all of our properties are of the highest standard. We have small properties sleeping 2, our largest property sleeps 14. Which ever property you choose, it will have everything you need for an enjoyable self catering break.

Specialities

Pets are welcome at many of our properties. Although our current portfolio does not carry any specially designed or adapted properties we do have some that include either a WC on the ground floor or at least one bedroom and full bathroom on the same level as the sitting room, dining room and kitchen areas.
