The hotel sits on the banks of the River Kent in Kendal and is only a short walk from the famous market town centre, and the renowned Abbot Hall Art Gallery in Kendal. We're perfectly located for all the Lake District attractions and we're only a ten- minute drive from Lake Windermere.

Dining at the Riverside is a delightful experience. We have our own kitchen garden, which supplies as much quality fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs as we can, all grown using organic principles. We rear our own free range Middle White Pork and Herdwick Lamb and take great care over our suppliers. Cumbria is world famous for it's beef and lamb, reared in our lush green hills. Our suppliers offer complete traceability and give a guarantee of flavour and tenderness. Riverside is renowned as a wedding venue, and we offer a complete Wedding service including a stunning setting for photography, 4 poster room on your wedding night, wedding breakfast room hire, and co-ordinating flower arrangements for top table and individual tables. Should you choose a Civil Ceremony for your Wedding Service we have three licensed rooms, all of which are tastefully decorated and furnished.
