Cosy Lake District B&B, quiet location between Bowness and Windermere, unique decor

Thorncliffe Bed and Breakfast is a traditional Lakeland slate terrace house built in 1898, with uniquely stylish internal decoration, combined with a location in the hub of the Central Lake District. The B&B is conveniently situated in a quiet residential area between the villages of Windermere and Bowness, with easy access to Lake Windermere. You're well placed for local amenities ,and it is only a short 5 minute walk to the many shops, pubs and restaurants which both villages offer, and a 10 minute walk to Lake Windermere. The house has recently been refurbished and modernised, retaining many of the original features but combined with a contemporary flavour, with original works of art decorating the walls. Thorncliffe is a cosy Lake District B&B with real character and charm.

The two rooms are double en-suites with a shower. Each one has a hospitality tray, TV, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, alarm clock, magazines and books. A few board games are also available to borrow. Guests can choose from Room 1 which faces the front of the house and the early morning sun. It is decorated with original photographs and screen prints. Room 2 faces the back of the house and the afternoon sun and has David Hockney exhibition posters which add vibrancy and colour. The owner's artwork can be viewed, and is particularly influenced by the Lake District Landscape and it's many stone circles.
