If a gentler pace is preferred, Rydal Water and Stockghyll Falls are not to be missed. With an extensive range of shops, pubs and restaurants, Ambleside makes an ideal all year round holiday base. We offer a selection of holiday cottages, luxury apartments and superb group holiday venues sleeping upto 8 people in and around Ambleside and Windermere, some in the Stockghyll Falls area. Or why not try a cosy cabin at the foot of the Langdale Fells, with free use of adjacent leisure club.

Cumbrian Cottages are in locations across the Lake District including Ambleside, Bassenthwaite, Borrowdale, Beatrix Potter country including Hawkshead and Sawrey, north Lake District specialist shopping haven Keswick, Caldbeck, Coniston, William Wordsworth's birthplace Cockermouth, the Eden Valley and many other Lake District hotspots. Late deals on Holiday cottages across these and other Lake District areas are always available, plus two person discounts of up to 20% are available with some cottages from November to April inclusive, but this excludes Christmas, New Year, February Half Term and Easter. These discounts do not apply to short breaks and late availability offers. Leisure club facilities are also available to all our holidaymakers in superb leisure clubs like Low Wood Leisure Club, Low Wood, Windermere. Guests of Storrs Hall are entitled to the use of Low Wood Leisure Club. The facilities include a heated pool, steam room, sauna and fitness studio with hair and beauty treatments, solarium and squash available at a charge, Preferential rates are available at the Lake District's premier Watersports Centre at Low Wood where you can try sailing, kayaking, waterskiing and powerboat rides or even hire a motorboat.
