Kirkbeck House is a large 19th Century self catering holiday cottage situated in the pretty Lake District village of Coniston, just a short level walk from the shores of the lake great for swimming and boating in the summer. There are eight bedrooms in total, providing luxurious accommodation for up to 20 people. This popular Lakeland village sits at the foot of 'The Old Man of Coniston' and has a range of excellent amenities including a post office, four pubs and several cafes all serving food. The House is a 2min walk from the Village opposite the play park, Tennis courts in the school, 2min walk can be used at weekends and holidays for a small fee(honesty box on court) also in the school is an outdoor swimming pool which is open twice a week to the public in the summer months and more frequentely in the summer holidays (it is also available for private hire). Coniston is a great base for all outdoor activities, walking, fishing, canoeing, bike riding and painting. The village is also conveniently placed for touring the surrounding Lake District including Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and Hawkshead.

The house is extremely well equipped with the recent addition on Wi-Fi and Sky comprising of two living rooms, one of which has a balcony. Both are complete with TV and one has Sky and video whilst the other has a DVD player both have a stereo. The kitchen is well equipped (e.g blenders, mixers plenty of large pots and pans) with dual fuel range cooker, fridge and microwave. Everything needed to cater for large parties. There is a downstairs toilet and shower room. The utility room contains 2 dishwashers, washing machine/tumble dryer and larder fridge and chest freezer. On the first floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom along with a family bathroom including shower and a further seperate toilet. The second floor is home to one double, one twin, one family and one triple room with en-suite shower room and includes a family bathroom. Outside there are beautiful gardens and a patio area with outdoor furniture. A welcome pack awaits your arrivals and there are a range of video/dvds toys and games for both Adults and Children.
