Beautifully appointed 18th century self catering holiday cottage, sleeps 7, edge of Ambleside, kids play area, beautiful decorated, stunning surroundings.

Scandale Bridge Holiday Cottage is extremely spacious, accommodating 7 people. The cottage offers guests not only a beautifully decorated and furnished self-catering holiday option, but also commands a superb central Lake District location just on the outskirts of the bustling market town of Ambleside close to Ambleside's many specialist shops and country inns, cafes and restaurants. This historic 18th century cottages sits at the foot of Fairfield Horseshoe with Scandale Beck flowing through the perimeter of the gardens.

The beautifully furnished sitting room enjoys magnificent views over Scandale Beck and features a real coal fireplace and comfortable lounge seating for up to seven people. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped and boasts an aga stove for cooking. Guests also benefit from surrounding mature gardens, offering a most peaceful setting. Other features include a superb range of furniture in the cottage such as de-luxe loungers. There is a patio dining table and chairs and kids will love the children's play area with a tree house. Parking is available for up to three cars and guests benefit from a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities. Other amenities include a colour TV and video recorder, an open fire, full central heating, double glazing throughout, and metered gas and electricity. All towels, linens, duvets and blankets are included and portable beds, high chairs and cots are available upon request. We welcome pets by prior arrangement, please advise us when booking!

Rooms Description

Scandale Bridge Cottage can accommodate 7 people, in four bedrooms consisting of two doubles, one twin and one single. All the bedrooms are comfortably furnished with views over the gardens or Scandale Beck. There is a fully fitted bathroom with shower and the larger of the double bedrooms has its own hand basin.

Specialities

Guests staying at Scandale Bridge Holiday cottage benefit from membership of the Low Wood Health, Fitness and Leisure Centre for the duration of your stay. Four guests may be booked in at any time.

Directions

By Car from the North, exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 toward Keswick. Before Keswick turn onto the A591 toward Windemere. Scandale Bridge Cottage is visible from the main road, on the outskirts of Ambleside on the A591. After passing the Crow Howe Hotel on the right, take the second turning on the left just after the signpost for Ambleside. From the South, exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 toward Windemere and the A591. Continue to the North and through the market town of Ambleside. Scandale Bridge Cottage is visible from the main road, accessed by taking the first right turn past Ambleside on the A591.
