Troutbeck Cottage is an idyllic Lakeland stone cottage dating from the 19th century, and full of charm and character. The cottage is ideally placed in the central Lake District in the hamlet of Troutbeck Bridge, between Ambleside and Windermere. The cottage has been beautifully renovated, offering self catering holiday accommodation for up to four people. Troutbeck Cottage is perfect for couples and small families looking for a relaxing break and central location, perfect for exploring the central Lake District. Many amenities are nearby, including the local pub, the Sun Inn, which is almost next door and the public swimming pool is only 5 minutes walk away. The normal booking is for Friday to Friday, but stays of 3 to 5 nights are available from November to March. All prices are inclusive of bed linen, tea towels and all electricity and fuel for the fire. Bath and hand towels are available at £3 per person. For the comfort of all our guests we do not welcome pets and the cottage is non smoking.
Troutbeck cottage, located close to the A591 between Windermere and Ambleside is ideally placed to explore this magnificent part of the country. The villages of Windermere and Ambleside are only a few minutes drive away. There are plenty of information and leaflets about local attractions throughout the Lake District and beyond in the cottage. Outside there is a small seating area to the front of the house which is a real suntrap! At the back there is a shared open courtyard. Parking is available for two cars for your convenience, one of which is in a private garage.
