Black Combe guesthouse is perfectly placed to the West of the beautiful Lake District Peninsula, close to Haverigg Point and it's superb nature reserves. There's a choice of outdoor pursuits very near the guesthouse, including birdwatching, walking, painting, pony trekking or golf. Black Combe House is only 5 minutes from the beach, the golf club, an equestrian centre, a nature reserve and beautiful countryside. We're also perfectly placed for the Lake District National Park. In just 30 minutes you could be in the heart of Lakeland, with Coniston Lake, and John Ruskin's home, being the nearest to us of all the many Lake District lakes. We're just 45 minutes from the M6, yet situated in a charming, quiet village in SW Cumbria. Guests can expect hearty breakfasts and comfortable rooms with superb rural views.

Directly opposite Black Combe House, there is the village green and in front of the house, ample parking space. Guests can relax and enjoy our very comfortable guests' lounge with TV, books, magazines and games available. We also have internet access should you require it, and the house is equipped with a wireless router. The dining room may be used for your evening takeaway meal if you wish. For the comfort of all our guests we have a non-smoking policy, and pets are not allowed in Black Combe House. However your dog may sleep in the car on our private and safe forecourt. Your comfort is our prime concern, and we offer many extra services including in the morning filling your flask!
