The Glen Bed and Breakfast is ideally located for exploring both the Lake District and the Scottish border. We're situated just 6 miles north of Carlisle in the Lake District, Cumbria, along a historic Roman Road surrounded by 2 acres of glorious countryside. Our guesthouse makes an ideal base for tours to the southern Lakes, and Lake District hotspots such as Lake Windermere, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top Farm and Wordsworth and Dove Cottage. Keswick and the Solway coast are both within 45 minutes of this charming guesthouse.

Guests will love our hearty Breakfasts, served between 7am - 10am, giving you ample flexibility. There is a wide selection of home produced and local fresh foods to cater for all tastes, along with our free range eggs, you won't find a better breakfast to start the day. We specialise in offering our guests escorted tours of the local area. Using our professional driver you will be Chauffeur driven in our Silver E Class Mercedes or Land Rover Discovery. We will pick you up from the airport {Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh.) and take you on daily excursions through Scotland and the north of England visiting places like Beatrix Potter, The Lake district, Wordsworth and Dove Cottage, Hadrians Wall, Gretna Green, The Brontes of Haworth and many more places of interest.
