Cambridge House Guest House is perfect for romantic getaways in the Central Lake District or just friends wanting to spend quality time walking,cycling,sight seeing and much more. We are a small, friendly family owned guest house built in the traditional Lakeland style in the centre of Windermere,(please note that Cambridge House is a guest house not a hotel and therefore offers home from home comfort in room sizes) just a minutes walk from the numerous shops, restaurants and pubs, a mere 5 minute walk from the railway and coach station, and only a pleasant 15 minute walk to beautiful Lake Windermere. Guests who stay two nights or more at Cambridge House can enjoy free use of the facilities at the nearby Parklands Country Club in Bowness, and those staying one night can enjoy the facilities at £5.00 per person. Parklands boasts excellent leisure facilities including a pool,sauna,steam room and a small gym. Also available at a small cost - Keepfit classes, squash and badmington.

Guests can expect the highest standards of service and accommodation and a warm and friendly atmosphere. We serve Full English or Vegetarian breakfast, Fruit & yogurt. Breakfast is served in our charming dining room and we use only the finest produce for our deliciously tasty full English breakfasts. For the comfort of all our guests we're a no-smoking guest house throughout. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children under ten years of age. Parking in the area in on road and plentiful, we can offer permits (subject to availability)for those who wish to leave the car during the times of 10am and 5pm when some areas are restricted - there is also plenty of un-restricted parking in the area.

We have a choice of double, triple,twin & family rooms, we can offer single occupancy in a double at a slightly reduced cost. Each room is beautifully decorated with style, and offers the essential comforts of en-suite facilities, colour TV, video/DVD (most rooms have the latest flat screen tvs)and satelite television is available in all rooms with a choice of over 80 chanels, DVD hairdryer, DVD player in all rooms with complimentary use DVD library, radio alarms, CD player, most rooms affer free WIFI connection, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries, some rooms have kingsize & superkingsize beds so please request on booking. We would be delighted to arrange a basket of flowers, chocolates, cake or balloons to surprise your loved one (quote available on request).
