Bay Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage that is perfectly located close to Ambleside Pier and the shores of Lake Windermere. Bay Cottage has the luxury of 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the third bedroom has a private shower room plus wash hand basin and W.C. Other accommodation comprises of lounge, dining room, kitchen plus an additional WC on ground floor. (Four Wc's in total in the Cottage.) Ambleside has a wealth of attractions including a cinema, lots of restaurants, pubs and outdoor clothing shops and all within walking distance.

Bay Cottage is centrally located in The Lake District National Park and well situated for lake cruises, boating, canoeing, fell walks, cycling, The Beatrix Potter attractions, Wordsworth’s homes and lots more.

Rooms Description

The self catering accommodation is on 3 floors. There is one double bedroom with the shower room located on the 1st floor and two further double bedrooms on the 2nd floor, both with en-suite facilities. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage is gas centrally heated and in addition the dining room has a living flame gas fire and the lounge has an original cast iron fireplace with open fire. Traditional wall papers and fabrics are used that are in keeping with the age of the cottage. All bed and table linen is provided but personal towels are not. Parking is available for one small to medium sized car (carport.)

Specialities

Bay Cottage is perfect for a holiday at any time of year , especially because it is situated less than one minute's walk from Ambleside Pier and the shores of Lake Windermere. Kayaks, rowing boats and motor boats can be hired in close proximity to the Pier and the very popular Lake Cruises depart regularly from the Pier throughout the day. In the evening you could dine at either 'The Wateredge Inn' 'The Waterhead Hotel' or the 'Regent Hotel' which are all within a couple of minutes walk of the Cottage.
